Practical help and support for our local community needing to develop English Conversation skills.
The aim of our English Conversation Classes is to provide a caring, listening environment where people can relax and gain confidence in conversing with the English language. Those who attend enjoy a time of fun, friendship and learning in small groups of two to four or even one to one. Conversation topics have included the environment, shopping, stories and Australian culture as well as many other issues. Participants are encouraged to provide new topics for discussion.
Due to strong demand for English classes, please contact the church office before attending as there may be a waiting list.
These classes occur weekly throughout the year, although it is best to confirm with the church office during holiday periods.

LinC stands for Love in the name of Christ and has the motto of “Ordinary people doing ordinary things and making an extraordinary difference in our community.”
Doncaster Church of Christ belongs to a network of churches in the city of Manningham, working together in cooperation with service agencies, to support people in need in our community.
Volunteers from these churches are trained and called upon, as appropriate, to assist in such services as transport, particularly to medical appointments, visitation, friendship, shopping, home care and maintenance, family support, childcare and more. A food bank, supported by church communities, provides emergency hampers to those finding themselves in financial difficulties.
Needs are assessed by trained volunteers at the LinC Referral Centre, where referrals are received from health professionals, social workers, day centres, families or directly from clients. Confidentiality is assured.
For further information contact the LinC Manningham Referral Centre on 9841 4025 or 9841 6717, leaving a message if the office is unattended, write to PO Box 138 Doncaster East 3109 or visit http://www.lincnational.org.au/Manningham.html
