Doncaster Youth Group (Yr 7-12)Director: Lauren Croxford
DYG is specifically for teenagers in years 7 to 12 and meets Friday nights from 7:30pm to 10pm, unless otherwise notified. DYG offers all kinds of fun both in and around the church with nights such as “Get pumped” to “Slip ‘n Slide”, it’s guaranteed to be a thrilling experience. On a fortnight we will be providing dinner and a space to chat from 6:30pm till youth group time. It’s a great space for youth to meet, have fun, hang out with each other, and be encouraged as young people. DYG is led by passionate young adults, eager to be involved in the lives of young people by being positive influences.
Garage Boys (Yr 7-10)Director: Ben Chong
The Garage is a group for boys between the ages of 12-16 (Years 7-10). It is an encouraging and safe environment for boys to have fun; discuss their lives, passions, goals, positives and struggles; and to explore what it means to be young men of God. Activities in The Garage include games, sharing of our weekly adventures, discussion of themes and ideas, quiet reflection and at least one excursion per term. We have participated in wider community events, such as “Clean Up Australia Day”; and learn about poverty and issues overseas, and how we can help, through our sponsorship of a boy in the Philippines. The Garage runs from 3.45pm to 5.00pm Sunday afternoons during the school term and is open to everyone. For more information, contact the church office.
TURTLES (Teen Girls Group Yr 7-10)Directors: Amy Tong
All girls in years 7 - 10 are welcome to join us to learn more about the bible, God, and how to live out our faith and make a positive difference in our world today. Other activities include cooking, baking, art and craft, games, eating and watching DVD. This small group is a great opportunity for teen girls to share and discuss issues in their own lives as well as to read the bible, pray and just hang out and get to know each other. TURTLES meets at 3:45pm in the Church foyer and walk down together to the Lower Room Sunday during the school term, and finishes 5pm before Infusion begins.

Vetamorphus is a VET subject that is facilitated out of our church community here at Doncaster. Enrolled students engage in ministry opportunities, biblical study, mentoring relationships, peer-support meetings, and live-in missional experiences. This course is a great invitation for young leaders to hone their ministry skills, gifting, and practice in an encouraging and affirming environment. Vetamorphus also counts as a school subject and counts towards VCE student’s ENTER. For more information contact Ben Chong at the church office or go to www.vetamorphus.com
Breakfast ClubDirector: Matt Waters
Breakfast club is an opportunity for our church community here at Doncaster to serve our local secondary school community. Each Thursday morning, a group of volunteers from our church supplies breakfast for students at Doncaster Secondary College. It’s a wonderful chance for us to show our school friends that Doncaster Church of Christ cares about the young people in our area.
State Youth GamesDirector:
Over the Queens Birthday weekend, our church is involved in a massive Church of Christ sporting weekend called State Youth Games (SYG). Each year we take down approximately 70 people who participate in sports such as AFL Rec Football, Dodge-ball, Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, and Basketball. SYG also has a massive rally each evening of the event with inspiring worship, thought-provoking teaching, and creative drama. Want to get on board? Contact the church office.
